5 stars, baby!!!!Yeah, standing ovation is in order...Again, totally in love with all that is Lisa Kleypas work!! I'm not sure which one was my favorite; and I really couldn't decide! Both are awesome, I believe! And as I'm still in the mood for historicals, I'm gonna start with the Bow Street Runners series next.

I used to avoid the genre at all costs until some friends held a sort of mini-intervention and gave me a list of good historical romance authors to check out. I took to the genre like a moth to light - and Lisa Kleypas was, by far, one of my favorites.Which is why it kills me to give this a low rating.Julia Hargate and Damon Savage were engaged as children at the insistence of

Well, this was a super cute story. Not the best I have read from this author, but good nonetheless.I loved all the plot regarding the theatre. It was super interesting to see a heroine from a working class, and not one of the usual high class society ladies. I believe this plot was quite imaginative and creative. I was super captivated with the theatre, and everything related; every little detail,I absorbed it.And all the romance going on between the 2 main characters was great. The fact that

It started out really promising. Really! What's not to like? A marriage between two children, long before they're legally able to. The bride, fleeing her gilded cage as soon as she is able, turning instead to theatre and finding that she's more acclaimed than she could've ever imagined. The groom, making a success of his family's name than his father had ever managed, earning more than his father had squandered. It was so intriguing, seeing their respective identities being slowly revealed, and

This wasnt one of LKs best. I cant quite put my finger on it at this time, but while the plot was entertaining and a little different, the book fell a little flat for me.You have a hero and heroine who were married at the ages of four and seven. The heroine, at 18, rebels and flees from her fathers domineering attitude, adopts a stage name and becomes an actress. The hero, never having seen her as an adult, accidentally comes across her and is immediately enamored. Its a typical battle of wills
