It was boring at 1st but then really interesting , I don't agree with all of it and don't have the knowledge 2 , but I'd like to someday

nice book but he was not concentrated in telling the story more than discuss oppisite openions at the islamic fiqh . which affected the story building

enjoyed it pretty much.while some of the plot point were extremely naive and can seem pretty contrived, the story and characters nonetheless are pretty interesting, and i love the usage of non-convential topics to convey a message.

A major work that can in few years become a classic.Combines style, humor, depth, strong plot, controversy and fair depiction of the political and religious status quo of Egypt (and the arab/islamic world). it may be unfair to compare, but this work is the closets of the contemporary to Naguib Mahfouz's and to international fiction standards... big thumbs up to the author
