Critique Regarding Books Suddenly a Bride (Across the Stars #1)
This was a story with a gentle plot which made it a refreshing change to tuck in amongst the more weightier dramatic plotted stories that I've been reading lately. Not to say that there is no conflict! There is that, but its resolution happens without an undue amount of angst because the two main characters are unselfish, thoughtful and mature about it when the conflict from without their relationship happens.Honestly, this one felt more like a contemporary romance with science fiction elements

Not for me.

Surprisingly cuteThis was surprisingly cute. It was a sci fi romance that was different than what I'm used to. Chris and Caitlyn turned out to be a cute loving couple even though they're from two different planets. I bought this book not realizing it was a sci fi romance. That's what I get for judging a book by its cover and title. Worth reading anyways.

I won't lie I thought that this was going be a stupid plot. But I have loved everything else Ruth Ann Nordin has written so I thought why not. Here is why not:I COULD NOT PUT DOWN THE BOOK EVEN TO GO COOK BREAKFAST! Yes, it was really that good. I love how innocent Chris is about Earth and especially women. It's very realistic in that sense seeing at men these days never seem to know what to do or say when a woman just wants this or that.

4.5 stars I love it but it is missing something to make it complete.

++Spoilers++This is a tough one to rate, so I went up the middle with a 3 star.I love this authors historical romances, and this is the first one of hers I have read that was not.First, I want to say that this is not a hard core sci-fi read, It's more like a contemporary romance with aliens. One of the things that I found a bit strange is the non MC aliens in the beginning of the book. They kinda reminded me of the old Star Trek creatures or like the original Star Wars guys in the bar scene with

This was a cute and goofy SFR with a seriously beta hero. He comes from a planet that bred itself out of females. He's used most of his savings to buy a wish. His wish is a lifemate--a woman he can marry and have children with. He ends up on Earth, which isn't aware of other life in the universe yet. The romance is sudden, driven by alien biology, and supported by each partner's willingness to be together and find a way to make things work. I didn't give it more stars because I felt that much of
