Description Concering Books Mystify the Magician (Everworld #11)

There is a place that shouldn’t exist. But does. And there are creatures that shouldn’t exist. But do. Welcome to a land where all of your dreams and nightmares are very real—and often deadly. Welcome to Everworld.

Christopher, Jalil, April, David, and Senna thought they’d seen it all. Especially after “visiting” Neptune’s watery world and then ultimately finding themselves in Atlantis. Once again, they’ve managed to find a way to the next land—hoping it will be the passage back to the earth they know. Back to the real world.

But when they wash up on a beautiful beach, they quickly realize that they’ve still not quite made it back home. That they’ve arrived in Eire. And it’s not the modern-day Ireland they’ve read about in class. This is a land of giants, leprechauns, and yes, more gods. But Christopher and the others have experience with these beings. The real problem is that Merlin is closing in, and this time he will not be outsmarted. And he will not leave without Senna…

Comment On Of Books Mystify the Magician (Everworld #11)
I could scarcely put this book down. Everything has culminated so well to this point. Character arcs and development, merging mythos, strong motives. And all accomplished in concise, excellent books. Also notably, each has gotten better than the last. When so many books, even many great ones, start to fall flat after several books, Applegate has a very unified series. By far, the best mythology/modern fantasy I've read.

Definitely the best book in the series.

Now that the group of human children from our world--Christopher, April, Jalil, David, and Senna--have escaped from Atlantis, they end up in an Irish part of Everworld in the land of Eire. Christopher's love life suddenly improves due to a certain elfin woman, and the city seems a little bit more like what these kids are used to; it's at least got some technological advances. But Senna's got something up her sleeve. She's been recruiting. And not only is she ready to show her real power; she's

OMG THAT ENDING. this might be my favourite of the series. my heart ached the whole way through. don't want series to end :(

Woo . . . it's almost over now. Merlin's such a badass. And I love Christopher books.

So, remember last book, when I said Applegate should maybe up the stakes a little less gradually ?Well my wishes have been granted because in this one, Senna decides to speed up her plan. The good point in this is that the pacing picks up quite a lot, we get to see what David & co are made of now that they've spent a few months training with their swords and going through horror after horror more accurately, of course, we see what they've learned. Christopher, especially, gets to shine, and

Christopher has really grown as a character also that endiiiing maaaan
