SPOILER FREE***this book began good and was great until 1/4 of the way in and it began to drag but I understand that now after reading the full book that you need the info its telling you. But at the end it got really good and Im happy to say I have read this book.

Detectives in Kernick 's books are so clumsy and annoying, Everyone looks so fake and all characters are dumbWe can read such amateur police stories /failures on newspaper why write a book (or 7) about it.Can they at least learn from experience? They kept falling and failing then making same mistakes all over again, it was hard to keep reading.

An excellent novel from one of my favourite writers.He writes such good original stories that have strong characters and believable plots.
