Judge Appertaining To Books Auggie & Me: Three Wonder Stories (Wonder #1.5, 1.6, 1.7)
I think there should be a rule that everyone in the world should get a standing ovation at least once in their lives. This book is the companion novel to Wonder. If you haven't heard about Wonder, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? SERIOUSLY! Anyway, it is a beautiful story that I believe everyone or almost everyone should read. I read it with my class two years ago and I enjoyed it so much. But if you have read Wonder, this book is small novellas of different people in Wonder and how their lives were

I adore this book and original and the author! We follow three supporting characters from the original book Wonder. We look deeper into their characters. I loved how the book started with Julian who was the most hated character in the last book. Julian was mean to Auggie for his deformity. Why? Because he was afraid of him. Due to some childhood trauma of scary faces like Voldemort, Julian sometimes has nightmares. Seeing Auggie triggered these night horrors. The best part of this book is you can

I think I enjoyed AUGGIE & ME more than I did the original WONDER. In this companion book R.J. Palacio explores three minor characters from WONDER, Christopher, Auggies childhood friend, Julian the bully and Charlotte, the nice-enough girl who didnt like the teasing, but never stepped up.Nothing about Julian is likable or sympathetic and after meeting his parents, readers know why. He doesnt feel badly for bullying Auggie and sees himself as a victim, until his grandmother shares a story

Such a good book, but please, read WONDER! Again, read this!!!!!!!

R.J. Palacio is the author of Wonder, a well know middle-grade book about a boy who was born with a facial disorder requiring several surgeries which still left him very much different looking from other children. He wishes to start public school and his journey begins. Augie & Me takes a look at the individual secondary characters and there reasons for their actions in Wonder. Not a sequel, however, a great addition that helps the reader understand their connection and importance to not only

I can see why these stories weren't included in Wonder, but I'm SO glad I read them. It took me a while to get into each story, but the author has an amazing talent of making you fall in love with every character she writes. I was so invested in all of them, it's hard to pick a favourite, but if I had to choose I would probably say Charlotte's, because I think ten year-old Bee could've learned a lot from the lessons in her story.

3.75I really enjoyed this book but I don't think it is necessary to read if you have read wonder. I really loved charlottes story and I liked Julian's but I didn't really enjoy Christopher's.
