Discuss Appertaining To Books Tales from the Odyssey, Part 2 (Tales from the Odyssey #4-6)
This is the second book by Mary Pope Osborne that tells the story of the Odyssey. This version of this story was really accessible for kids. My boys both enjoyed the continuation of the story of Odysseus and his return home.

I feel extremely sorry Odysseus, because he not only is still on ship, sailing, trying to go home, but he is also alone and by himself. If I were him, I would feel scared and lonely, and I personally wouldn't ssssknow what to do. It makes me think of what I have right now and how that would differ of I were by myself. I would think of myself as a literal outcast, having to be just by myself in the open sea, on a ship in a long and vst ocean. As Odysseus recalls everything that had happened to

Really enjoyed the refresher for me and I am sure my kid will enjoy this. It is stripped down and easier to read, but it doesnt strip out the details, gory and all.

The latter half (book 2) of the tale of Odyssey abridged ... with key phrases intact (e.g., "rosy-fingered dawn"). A good introduction to Odyssey for children ages 4-8. Bedtime reading to my 6-year-old who would not let me put the book down. Her brothers enjoyed this when they were ages 4/6 also.

This book made me cry. And guess what made me cry? A one short paragraph about Argus, Odysseus's faithful hound! I always had a thing for faithful dogs like Hachi (this made me cry so much), Greyfriars Bobby and other loyal dogs out there who are very faithful to their owners! R.I.P to them! :'( I love the retelling of the Odyssey to Mary Pope Osborne. I learned a lot of things and I remember, the first time I had read the first part, I'm dying to read the second one and immediately went to the

this one was good too!
