Judge Based On Books Venom (Elemental Assassin #3)

Buddy read with my fellow UF addicts at BB&B.This is what I was waiting for. Getting so caught up in the book that I can't put it down. Sure it took three books to get here but the important thing is that it did. Because I would have been pissed otherwise. I read for that feeling of being so high on the story that I crave the next page like a drug. For that alone I usually give a 5 star rating. After the third book its official, I am a fan. The only problem I have with it is that it is a bit repetitive. You almost don't need to read the previous books because the current book tells you everything that happened. I chucking it to the fact that the series is in it's early stages and the author is trying to save us the hassle of trying to remember the previous book but I sincerely hope it's not a recurring theme cos that would suck.

I've given this series as much of my time as I could. I was thoroughly intrigued by the ideas that Estep's stories held within their confines. The first book was a wonderful read. Even if some of her writing quirks were a little irritating I could ignore them for the characters, the story, and the otherwise wonderfully crafted prose. And then I moved onto the second book and those quirks were more prevalent as I read. It's very repetitive, even obnoxious. I ignored those things and continued

This series just gets better and better. I can't believe how emotionally invested I've become in Gin Blanco. I've said it before, Gin and I could be besties. I admire most everything about her - her grit, courage, intelligence, passion, tenacity, mad skills, and mostly her deep and abiding care she has for the people she loves. I find this book emotional and darn frustrating because they are going to take that one issue and extended to the next book. Please, please, let this issue get resolved



4.5 stars. So good! It is getting better with each book. Gin is such a mixed bag - tough on the outside but so soft on in the inside, and her 'family' are the glue that keeps her together. I must admit that I was much more interested in Gin's relationship with Bria and Owen (he is so hot and much more suited to Gin than Donovan) than I was with the happenings with Mab Monroe and Elliot Slater. My only gripe is the repetitiveness of events in previous books which I tend to skip over. I am reading
